Hotel: The Mar Hotel Alimuri is the best Hotel I've ever been to in Italy. The whole setting is just excellent. The pool/beach area was excellent. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and polite. At our arrival they told us that we were upgraded to a much better room. Nice surprise! :-) Location: The Hotel is located in Meta, a little town near Sorrent. It is much quieter than Sorrento and most tourists are italian. There is actually not much to do/to see beside of 3 or 4 restaurants and some small supermarkets. But it is very easy to get around as there is a train and a bus station in Meta. With the train you easily get to Napoli, Pompei, Ercolaneo or Sorrento. Also the SITA buses from/to Amalfi are stopping in Meta. Room: Our room was great. Everything was well arranged and very clean. The MarHotel Alimuri is an excellent Hotel in a quiet but picturesque position. I will definitely stay there again!
